Principal's Message
I am excited to get our students back!
My name is Alyssa Mostyn (like Boston). This will be my seventh year as a principal, and I love working with teachers, students, and families. I am eager to have students come back into the building each day and look forward to an even more normal school year for our learners. I have been in education for over 13 years, and I'm passionate about seeing the growth in our students to ensure they never have a door closed to them.
The foundation of your child's formal education begins here, and we do not take that lightly. We have a responsibility to make sure your child is ready to go. We will do everything we can to make sure that happens. Working as a team, the Woodrow Wilson staff is committed to ensuring our students grow academically and socially. We do all of our work understanding the trust you have placed in us and will ensure a safe, joyful environment that your child deserves. We look forward to partnering with you in getting your child started in school with great success!
My family has students this age too... I have a 9 year old (Fiona), a 7 year old (Patrick), and an almost 4 year old (Aidan) (along with my husband, Dan, and two dogs- Izzy and Buddy). I love these ages- the fun silliness, unbelievable growth that is happening daily, beautiful innocence, and contagious curiosity- and look forward to getting to work with your student here.
I look forward to meeting you and the students. If you ever need to reach me, please do not hesitate to reach out to the office at 708-862-5166 or email me directly at amostyn@calumetcity155.org.
