Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Calumet City, Illinois. We are the Bobcats!

I hope your summer was filled with fun, relaxation, and quality family time. And I am thrilled to
welcome you and your children back for another exciting and enriching school year at Wilson.

Here are some key dates:

• The first day of school is Wednesday, August 21, 2024. (Registered Students Only)
• The first day for PreK students is Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
• Wilson Open House is Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 6:00PM

If you have not completed the online registration, please do this before August 21st. All students
registered by this date can start school on the first day. 95% of our parents do complete the
registration by the first day of school. Please don’t delay. We want all students in school on
the first day.

This school year, we want to increase student attendance, reduce chronic absenteeism, and offer
more parent workshops. Last school year we had some exciting parent events. We plan to add
more programs to get and keep parents involved at Wilson.

Also, please be on the lookout for my weekly parent newsletters. The newsletters keep parents
informed on all upcoming events for students and parents.

I am looking forward to seeing all my Wilson students and parents on Wednesday, August 21 st .
